FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Everything you need to know

The most common questions about drive selection, communication, safety and delivery. Can’t find your answer? Just contact us.

Which drive should I choose for my motor?
Motor type is key: use BAMSI for brushed DC motors and the TULPAR series for brushless BLDC/PMSM/ACIM motors. Then pick a model by your motor’s operating voltage (12–120 V) and rated current (10–300 A). The configurator on the homepage recommends the right drive automatically.
Should I use CANopen or Modbus?
Depending on the model, our drives support both Modbus RTU and CANopen 2.0A. Choose whichever your PLC or controller uses; there is no functional difference. USB, RS232, CANBus and RS485 interfaces are available.
What is STO (Safe Torque Off)?
STO is a machine-safety function that electronically and safely removes torque from the motor in a hazard. Models with STO comply with industrial safety standards.
What does 4Q regenerative drive mean?
4-quadrant (4Q) topology drives the motor in both directions and recovers the energy released during deceleration back to the battery/source, improving efficiency and reducing braking heat.
How do I set up and configure a drive?
With the free NES Drive Studio (Windows) software: connect via USB or RS232/RS485, set motor parameters, current/speed limits and FOC/PID tuning, monitor live and update firmware. Download it from the Studio page.
What is the lead time?
In-stock products usually ship the same day from our Kayseri warehouse; domestic delivery is 1–2 business days. Export options are available. Contact us for current stock and timing.
Do you offer custom (OEM) development?
Yes. When standard products fall short, we shape hardware and firmware around your project. We are open to OEM and R&D collaboration.
How do warranty and support work?
You talk to the engineers who designed the product, not a sales layer. We provide installation, commissioning and after-sales support with technical depth.
Where are the products manufactured?
Design, production, testing and service — all in Kayseri, under one roof. 100% in-house design and production.
