Product TULPAR 300 Overview: 300 A BLDC Motor Controller
TULPAR 300 is the flagship of NESDrive’s brushless motor controller series TULPAR. With 300 A rated and 450 A peak current, it is designed for high-power applications such as AGVs, AMRs and heavy industrial platforms. This article covers its key features and when it is the right choice.
Key Ratings
- Operating voltage: 12–48 V or 48–120 V DC (two voltage versions)
- Current: 300 A rated, 450 A peak (RMS)
- Compatible motors: BLDC, PMSM and AC induction (ACIM)
- Topology: four-quadrant (4Q) regenerative
- Communication: CANopen and Modbus; RS232, CAN bus and RS485 interfaces
- Feedback: encoder and Hall, resolver optional
- I/O: 5 digital inputs, 2 analog inputs, 2 digital outputs, 1 brake output
- Safety: STO (Safe Torque Off) input
- Operating temperature: −10 °C / +40 °C
Highlights
TULPAR 300 runs FOC (field-oriented control) or six-step control depending on the motor, producing smooth, strong torque at low speed. Its 4Q topology gives full control when driving forward or reverse and when braking, returning energy to the battery while slowing down. With CANopen it shares one bus with the vehicle computer, BMS and other drives, and the STO input can be wired into the machine’s safety chain.
Where It Is Used
- AGVs and AMRs carrying heavy loads
- High-current industrial platforms and transport vehicles
- Forklift traction motors
- High-power traction above 48 V with the 48–120 V version
TULPAR 300 or Another Model?
If you need the 50 A class, TULPAR 250 (12–72 V, 75 A peak) or TULPAR 200 may be more economical. If your motor is brushed DC, the equivalent in this current class is BAMSI 300. Compare all models on our BLDC motor controller page.
